Toxic emotions, such as anger, envy, can sully one's sunny disposition. Avoid them and their instigators.
Good night everyone. Don't chase dreams, let dreams chase you.
If I lay here
If I just lay here
Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Another Gift
If you asked me for the best idea for gifts, the answer is constant and elegantly simple: books. Books are worlds contained in sheets.
A gift from a writer mentor who is based in Oman, Iraq. Yes, words and poetry connect us.

I: SMALL Things to Be Thanked for
These chopsticks greeted me on my station yesterday.
I used to sport chopsticks back in college. Paintbrush, Mongols, color pencils, ballpens and even barbecue sticks were my hair's bestfriends. My hair was Pocahontas's-long then. It has been a year already since I wore a new hair style. My hair is getting longer now. My old self slowly claims my weakly established new self. Who is complaining anyway? I missed myself ;-)
I found a package on my station earlier today.
Thank you. :)

Book Launchings: Three in One
Unsaon Pagkaon sa Impiyerno?
ni Cindy Velasquez
Sukara ang kahadlok sa init nga kaha
Aron imong isula sa dukot nga panggoberno
Ibutang sa imong plato samtang
Naay mga yawa sa imong atubangan
Kinamota ug usapa hangtod
mabusog ka uban sa mga bala
Hay...dili na uso ang tinidor ug
Kutsara, mao na, kaon na lang diha.
Kon ikaw mapul-an sa imong sud-an,
Uy, ang kahadlok pwede baya silian
Ania pa man sad ang hilaw nga paglaom
Ug isawsaw lang sa bahaw nga kalinaw
Ug kon ikaw mapaso, intawn
Ayaw kalimot og pag-ampo
1
Walay bituon.
Naalaan sa mga kwaknit
Nga mansanitas.
No stars.
The bats mistook them
For fruits.
2
Matintalon ang uwan.
Sa iyang pagbundak,
Midailos ang akong bukton
Sa imong hawak.
The rain's a tease.
As it pours,
My arm eases
Around your waist.
Kanang nakatagpilaw nga sikyu
Gabantay sa bangko sa iyang damgo.
Is securing the seat of his dreams.
4
ug kung nganong wa ko kaila nimo
luya ang iwag sa buwan,
pagaw ang singgit sa uwan.
and why i didn't recognize you
the moon's light was faint,
the rain's shout was hoarse.
5
mas banha nuon kung wala ka
ang way hugas nga mga plato sa kusina buot makig-istorya
ang way plansa nga mga bisti sa parador buot magpa-isplika
it's surprisingly noisier when you're not around
the unwashed dishes in the sink would like to have a serious talk
the unironed clothes in the closet are demanding explanations

Have no information for the exact cover of Nyor Butch Bandillo's book. But I could guess. ;-)
